Our commitment

We want this site to be usable by as many people as possible, including people using screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification, or reduced-motion settings.

Standard we work to

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 at Level AA. We assess the site against that standard as we make changes rather than only at release.

What we have done

  • Content is readable and usable without JavaScript; motion is an enhancement, not a requirement.
  • All animation is disabled automatically when your system requests reduced motion.
  • Interactive controls are reachable and operable by keyboard, with visible focus.
  • Text colour combinations are chosen to meet minimum contrast ratios.
  • Layouts reflow to small screens and support browser zoom to 200 per cent without loss of content.
  • Images and decorative graphics are marked so assistive technology can skip or describe them appropriately.

Known limitations

Some decorative gradient panels behind headings are generated in CSS and are not exposed to assistive technology, by design. We are continuing to review long-form legal pages for heading structure and reading order.
